Gunnison Copper: Johnson Camp production shifts to active, second-quarter profitability

According to CoinMeta, Gunnison Copper Corp ( TSX : GCU ) achieved profitability in the second quarter after transitioning from its expansion phase to active production in its Johnson Camp operation. The net income was 13.1 million US dollars, with earnings per share of 0.03 US dollars, and revenue reached 23.6 million US dollars, mainly from the sale of copper cathodes amounting to 13.7 million US dollars. In comparison to the same period last year, revenue was only 100,000 US dollars, and there was a net loss of 2.9 million US dollars. In the first half of 2026, Gunnison generated revenue of 43.7 million US dollars and net income of 14.8 million US dollars, whereas in the first half of 2025, revenue was only 700,000 US dollars, with a net loss of 25.4 million US dollars. During this period, the company completed an over-subscribed public offering of 34.5 million Canadian dollars, issuing 82.1 million common shares, with the funds used to advance the Gunnison copper project and general operations. Gunnison also launched a large-scale drilling program, planning to drill 120 holes with a total length of about 138,000 feet, expected to cost approximately 15 million US dollars, with the aim of supporting the ongoing feasibility studies.
