Bitcoin price forecasts may be overly optimistic

According to CoinMeta, the latest prediction by asset management company Bitwise is that Bitcoin could reach $1.3 million within the next decade, but analysts believe this forecast may be overly optimistic. The analysis points out that the rise in Bitcoin prices mainly depends on its ability to capture a share of the gold market, as well as whether trillions of dollars from global pension funds and other sources will be allocated to cryptocurrencies. In addition, the current yield on U.S. Treasury bonds has exceeded 5%, which means that the opportunity cost of investing each dollar in Bitcoin is the loss of returns that could be obtained from Treasury bonds. Analysts suggest that higher bond yields could have a direct negative impact on the upward trend of Bitcoin prices.
