Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini reports a net loss of $108 million

According to CoinMeta, the crypto exchange Gemini (Nasdaq: $GEMI) reported a net loss of $107.7 million in the second quarter of 2026, which represents a 19% reduction from the $133.2 million loss in the same period last year. Meanwhile, Gemini reported total revenue of $45.5 million, a year-on-year increase of 19%. Despite the revenue growth, digital asset trading revenue decreased by 38% to $12.5 million, and trading volume fell from $1.13 billion in the same period last year to $3.8 billion. Gemini, the CEO of Gemini, stated, "We still have a lot of work to do." Since its listing last September, the stock price of Gemini has fallen by 87%, and it is currently trading at $4.08 per share.
