Lido Launches Automatic Repurchase Mechanism, with Governance Plan Setting a Repurchase Cap
2026-08-14 22:58:44
According to CoinMeta, Wu said that Lido announced that its LDO automatic repurchase mechanism Nest has officially gone live on the mainnet. When the collateral income of Lido DAO exceeds an annual benchmark of approximately $40 million and the cumulative surplus is positive, Nest will automatically use a portion of the surplus to repurchase LDO. If there is a revenue shortfall, it must be made up for before repurchases can resume. The governance scheme sets a 50% surplus allocation, with a daily maximum of $50,000 and an annual maximum of $10 million for repurchases. All LDO purchased in this way will belong to DAO.
