Lynq CEO: Digital currencies need an interoperable settlement system
2026-08-14 23:28:13
According to CoinMeta, Lynq CEO Jerald David indicates that institutional finance needs an interoperable settlement system that can move cash and collateral around the clock to adapt to the adoption of various digital currencies. He pointed out that the Bank of England's latest digital pound experiment provides early indications on how the institutional market can use multiple digital currencies. David believes that stablecoins, tokenized deposits, tokenized money market funds, potential CBDC, and traditional bank money could all play different roles depending on the counterparty, jurisdiction, and type of transaction.
