According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Bloomberg, Clara Gillispie, a senior researcher in climate and energy, stated that oil and gas producers and buyers are considering the possibility that the Strait of Hormuz could be closed or operate at reduced capacity within the next year. Gillispie pointed out that while countries are looking for alternatives to the Strait of Hormuz, they are also considering alternative routes and ways to reduce insurance risk exposure.
