According to CoinMeta, Yu Jiahui announced his departure from Meta and is preparing to found a new company. Last year, he joined Meta from OpenAI and worked alongside Zuckerberg and Wang Tao to establish TBD Lab, where he was responsible for research and development in the multi-modal field. During his time at Meta, Yu Jiahui participated in projects such as Muse Spark, Voice Mode, Muse Image, and Muse Video. Just before his resignation, Muse Spark was updated to version 1.2. He stated that he has become increasingly fascinated by a topic that is "very important for the future of humanity but is currently little explored," and he plans to devote all his energy to researching it in the future. The name of the new company and its specific focus have not yet been announced. Previously, Yu Jiahui was in charge of the perception team at OpenAI and also participated in the multi-modal research at Google DeepMind.
