According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Yonhap News, Bithumb announced revenue of $109 million in the first half of 2026, a year-on-year decrease of 48.7%; operating profit was $9.6 million, a year-on-year decline of 83.4%; and net loss was $70.1 million. Bithumb reported revenue of $55.7 million in the second quarter, a year-on-year decrease of 35.8%, with operating profit at $7.8 million, a year-on-year decline of 44.0%. Bithumb stated that the decline in performance was due to the high-interest-rate policy in the United States, which caused investors to shift their funds to AI and the semiconductor stock market, resulting in a decrease in activity in the virtual asset trading market.
