Bithumb reported revenue of 86.3 billion Korean won (about $55.7 million) in the second quarter, a year-on-year decrease of 35.8%, with operating profit at 12.1 billion Korean won (about $7.8 million), also a year-on-year decrease of 44.0%. Bithumb stated that the decline in performance was mainly due to the continued high-interest-rate policy in the United States, causing funds and attention from investors in South Korea and around the world to shift towards AI, semiconductor, and other stock markets, resulting in a decrease in activity in the virtual asset trading market.
