According to CoinMeta, although the South Korean market has rebounded significantly from the panic caused by the plummet in chip stocks and artificial intelligence-related stocks, data shows that the scale of short selling in stocks is still on the rise. According to data released by the South Korean Exchange on Sunday, as of Tuesday this week, the outstanding short selling balance in the South Korean stock market was approximately 19 trillion won (about $13.4 billion), an increase of 2.27 trillion won from 16.73 trillion won at the end of last month, representing a growth of 14%. So far this month, South Korea's benchmark composite stock price index has risen by 6%, while the tech-driven KOSPI 200 index has soared by 20%. However, investors are still concerned about the rapid gains in the short term and are unsure whether the chip industry has reached its peak.
