According to CoinMeta, stable has released a white paper for version 2.0. The mainnet uses USDT as the native gas and primary settlement asset, while also supporting PYUSD. It is positioned as an institutional-level stablecoin settlement infrastructure. The total supply of stable is 100 billion coins, of which 18% are already in circulation. The remaining 82% will be unlocked in phases starting from the end of 2027, with the full release to be completed by December 2029 at the latest. If the weighted average trading price on the 30th falls below $0.025, some of the unlocks can be postponed for up to 9 months. The white paper also identifies AI, agent for payments, corporate settlements, and cross-border payments as key use cases.
