SEC Cancellation of scheduled meeting, the formulation of digital asset regulations is postponed again

According to CoinMeta, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) suddenly canceled a scheduled meeting last Friday. The meeting was intended to advance the development of its digital asset regulatory rules and to announce the innovative exemptions that had been repeatedly postponed. This suspension seems to be related to the Clear Act. The SEC announced earlier last week that it would hold a public meeting to discuss its digital asset fundraising proposals, to clarify how companies could use tokens for fundraising, and ultimately to move outside of the SEC's jurisdiction after issuing their own digital assets. The SEC also planned to announce some details of these innovative exemptions. Industry insiders told reporters last week that this would, to some extent, address the issue of how issuers of security tokens handle underlying securities.
