According to CoinMeta, Novig filed a federal lawsuit on August 15th in the Western District Federal Court of Wisconsin, targeting the Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul and the state's gambling regulator John Dillett, with the aim of stopping the state government's enforcement actions regarding their sports betting contracts. In April, Wisconsin had sued Kalshi, Polymarket, Robinhood, Crypto.com, and Coinbase for violating the state's commercial gambling ban. Novig began offering contracts to Wisconsin customers one week before filing the lawsuit and requested the court to expedite the issuance of a preliminary injunction to prevent state enforcement.
