Selling of U.S. Treasuries continues, with the yield on 30-year Treasuries reaching its highest level since 2007

According to CoinMeta, the yield on 30-year U.S. Treasury bonds has risen to its highest level in nearly 20 years, reaching 5.29%, the highest since 2007. This increase reflects investors' concerns about the continuously expanding scale of U.S. government debt and inflation rates that remain above the Federal Reserve's targets. The rise in long-term U.S. bond yields is pushing up the financing costs for the U.S. government, with investors demanding higher yields as compensation to guard against increased government debt and inflation risks. Anshul Pradhan, head of Barclays' U.S. interest rate strategy, stated that the sell-off in long-term U.S. bonds is not likely to subside soon, and it will take factors such as favorable fiscal conditions and a slowdown in bond issuance to improve the situation.
