According to CoinMeta, the Blockchain Association of America has written to support the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in repealing some outdated rules of the National Market System (NMS). They believe that these adjustments will create space for the tokenization of securities and the development of new types of trading infrastructure. The association stated that some of the current rules were designed for the "2005 market," and that the structure of the U.S. market needs to keep up with technological advancements.
