According to CoinMeta, as reported by bitcoin.com, the European Union adopted a 21st set of sanctions against Russia on July 23, imposing trading bans on 14 cryptocurrency service platforms in countries such as Georgia, Panama, the United Arab Emirates, and Belarus. Starting from August 25, citizens of Russia and Belarus were prohibited from holding any positions or ownership in cryptocurrency service providers under the EU's MICA framework. Additionally, the EU was authorized to impose a comprehensive trade blockade on third countries that failed to prevent sanctioned cryptocurrency activities.
