According to CoinMeta, the hedge fund Situational Awareness, which focuses on artificial intelligence investments, stated in its filing that this month it reduced its holdings by selling shares of Taiyo Denki Corporation to Citadel and other investors. The filing submitted to Japan's Ministry of Finance shows that on August 3, the fund sold approximately 4.62 million shares of Taiyo Denki Corporation to the Citadel Multi-Strategy Equity Fund through over-the-counter trading at a price of 9,397 yen per share, corresponding to a 3.42% stake. The document also revealed that the fund was on the brink of collapse last month and on the same day, it sold shares to Ginza Financial, JPMorgan Chase Securities, and Barclays Bank at a price of 10,225 yen per share.
