Ethereum warns developers to pay attention to the Glamsterdam gas change
2026-08-18 13:28:29
According to CoinMeta, the Ethereum Foundation warns developers that changes to the gas model during the Glamsterdam upgrade may cause some tools to become inoperable. Developers are encouraged to test their systems on the Plataberget testnet to ensure they can function properly after the upgrade. The foundation states that any tools that rely on hardcoded maximum gas limits will no longer work and must be updated. The Glamsterdam upgrade is scheduled to be activated on the mainnet this Thursday and will undergo testing on the testnets on Sepolia and Hoodi.
