According to CoinMeta, South Korea has ordered the blockade of a platform due to regulatory authorities discovering that it provided an illegal gambling environment. On August 18th, the South Korean Broadcasting, Media, and Communications Commission voted to approve a request to block access to the platform, citing that some of its content violated the national sports promotion law. After reviewing the platform's market creation, trading rules, encrypted deposits and withdrawals, and user transaction settlements, the commission concluded that its structure could expose users to significant financial risks and encouraged speculative gambling behavior. This decision was made after several weeks of reviewing the platform, and the commission also took into account opinions from the National Police Agency and the National Gambling Control Commission.
