According to CoinMeta, Tian Yonglong, a former member of the OpenAI technical team, has confirmed his joining of Tencent's Hunyuan team, where he will be involved in the research and development of visual language models in the future. Tian Yonglong graduated from Tsinghua University with a bachelor's degree and obtained his doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has previously served as a senior research scientist at Google Research and at Google DeepMind. His main areas of research include computer vision and generative models. This is another top Chinese researcher AI that Tencent Hunyuan has recruited, following the hiring of Chief AI Scientist Yao Shunyu last year. Tencent has recently launched the official version of the Hunyuan HY3 model, which was led by Yao Shunyu.
