Marvell Technology Drops 6% Due to Rising Treasury Yields
2026-08-18 22:07:52
According to CoinMeta, Marvell Technology (Nasdaq: MRVL) shares fell 6% in early trading on Tuesday to $219.28, partially reversing the significant gains seen in 2026. Despite UBS releasing a bullish research report on the company's AI business, rising Treasury yields put pressure on the semiconductor industry. UBS analyst Timothy Arcuri pointed out that if purchases exceed 1 million units, Microsoft's ASIC relationship could generate $1 billion to $2 billion in revenue for Marvell. Meanwhile, Broadcom (Nasdaq: AVGO) and Nvidia (Nasdaq: NVDA) shares each fell 2%.
