Blockchain Data Platform Allium Submits a Letter of Opinion on the Market Structure Rules of SEC
2026-08-18 23:48:54
According to CoinMeta, Wu said that he learned from the blockchain data platform Allium that opinions have been submitted regarding adjustments to market structure rules such as Reg NMS Rule 611 in the United States SEC. Allium believes that Rule 611 is mainly used to prevent transactions from being executed at prices lower than those publicly quoted in other markets and does not equate to the “best execution” obligation. As transactions become dispersed across exchanges, ATS, internal matching, and on-chain markets, it has become difficult to compare the execution quality of different systems based solely on price. Allium recommends establishing a unified framework for measuring and disclosing execution quality that covers both traditional finance and on-chain markets, in order to improve comparability and transparency between different trading venues.
