According to CoinMeta, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced on August 18 that it is formulating new regulatory rules for crypto assets, proposing special exemptions for certain crypto investment contracts, including financing pathways that can reach up to $75 million per year. The plan also introduces conditional safe harbors and federal disclosure requirements, and sets up two exempt financing pathways.
