According to CoinMeta, as reported by The Rage, Chainalysis has filed a lawsuit regarding a blockchain monitoring contract worth $95 million with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This contract was awarded to a task force ICE that replaced a previous federal anti-drug enforcement project, and the amount is approximately three-quarters of the total value of all contracts ever awarded by the U.S. government to a single blockchain monitoring company. The Rage states that there is almost no public information available about the “Cybercrime Interference Center” involved in this contract; aside from government procurement records, no official website or other public materials for it have been found to date.
