According to CoinMeta, the eurozone's current account surplus expanded in June, mainly driven by an increase in primary income, including capital flows such as dividends, wages, and direct investment. After seasonal adjustments, the total current account surplus for the eurozone increased from 25.8 billion euros in the previous month to 35.1 billion euros (about 40.7 billion US dollars) in June. Unadjusted data showed a surplus of 46.9 billion euros, while there was a deficit of 6.1 billion euros. Over the 12 months ending June, the eurozone's balance of payments surplus as a percentage of GDP narrowed from 2.0% in the previous 12 months to 1.7%.
