Deutsche Bank: UK inflation may rise further
2026-08-19 17:41:20
According to CoinMeta, Sangeet Rajah, an analyst at Deutsche Bank, pointed out in a report that inflation in the UK may rise further. In July, the inflation rate soared from 2.6% the previous month to 2.9%. He stated that all of the Bank of England's core services indicators had been raised, highlighting a certain sense of unease regarding the upward trend in prices. Rajah also added that due to the ongoing uncertainties in the Middle East situation, energy inflation remains volatile. However, he noted that the food price inflation rate has dropped to its lowest level since the end of 2021, and the growth rate of service prices has also reached its lowest point in three months. Nevertheless, this may just be a temporary relief. He said there are sufficient reasons to believe that the trend of food prices in 2027 is likely to go in one direction only: up.
