According to CoinMeta, the price of Bitcoin fell back to around $64,300 on August 19th, failing to remain above $65,000 due to weak spot demand, rising bond yields, and resistance around $65,400 that limited any rebound. On Wednesday afternoon Asian time, Bitcoin was trading at around $64,390 on Binance, with a daily decline of about 0.5%. The price reached a high of $64,736 during the day, but sellers then pushed it down. Trader Lennaert Snyder noted that Bitcoin was once again rejected at the upper end of its consolidation range, pointing out that $65,400 is a level that confines the asset within that range. If it falls below the previous day's low of $64,000, the price could drop to the lower boundary. Since the end of July, Bitcoin has mostly traded between $62,500 and $65,400, despite brief fluctuations. Analyst Gerla stated that Binance's spot trading volume has been declining for several years, even though Bitcoin has remained around $64,000.
