Ethereum price rises but remains below $2,000: A breakthrough or a trap?
2026-08-19 20:32:36
According to CoinMeta, the price of Ethereum rose by 3% on August 19, reaching around $1,920, but due to the weak trend strength and nearby liquidation clusters, the price failed to break through $2,000. During the recovery that began around August 17, Ethereum's price reached a intraday high of $1,930. The 4-hour chart shows improving momentum, while the daily chart indicates a weak but developing bullish bias. The concentration of large leveraged positions may cause Ethereum to remain volatile within the recent range. Analysts Micha, van, de, and Poppe suggest that Ethereum's strong rebound against Bitcoin could break through $0.03205 in the coming weeks.
