Uber Announces Cooperation with Zipline to Advance Drone Delivery Services

According to CoinMeta, Uber Technologies ( NYSE : UBER ) announced on August 17th that it has reached a partnership with drone delivery company Zipline, planning to launch automated drone food delivery services in the United States and making a strategic investment in Zipline. This is Uber's second major investment in the drone sector, aimed at enhancing its food delivery business. Despite the continuous expansion of Uber's core business in the second quarter, with monthly active users increasing by 16% to 208 million, its stock price still fell by about 9%. The goal of the partnership between Uber and Zipline is to achieve 1 million drone deliveries per day by the end of 2029, with the first flights set to begin later this year.
