OKX Prohibits Hong Kong Employees from Using Claude to Restore Corporate Accounts
2026-08-20 03:10:05
According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Bloomberg, OKX has prohibited its employees in Hong Kong and those passing through China from using Anthropic's Claude after its corporate Claude account was temporarily suspended at the beginning of August. The corporate account has now been restored. OKX stated that some previous uses by Hong Kong employees may not have fully complied with Anthropic's regional access policies, therefore, they will restrict the use of Claude for Hong Kong employees as required, and any related AI requests will be directed to other models. Currently, the policy does not allow the use of Claude in mainland China and Hong Kong. OKX has previously encouraged employees to use AI at work and included this capability in performance evaluations. The company claims to spend approximately 6 to 8 million US dollars per month on various mainstream large model providers.
