According to CoinMeta, Trump stated at the White House that the United States has a number of severe sanctions measures that can be imposed on Iran, and said, "We will wait and see." He mentioned that negotiations with Iran could possibly resume "at some point," but Iran must completely abandon its nuclear weapons. In addition, Trump reiterated that the United States has "full control" over the Strait of Hormuz and pointed out that Iran's "occasional launch of drones does indeed cause trouble." He also said that there are currently no talks or discussions with Iran, although he previously claimed that negotiations were underway between the two countries, which was denied by Iran.
