According to CoinMeta, the Swiss Federal Customs and Border Security Service reported that in July 2026, Swiss exports increased significantly by 13.8% compared to the previous month (with a real increase of 10.7%), reaching 27.8 billion Swiss francs, the highest level since March 2025. At the same time, nominal imports decreased by 4.5% compared to the previous month (with a real decrease of 2.8%). The chemical-pharmaceutical industry had a decisive impact on the overall results, and the large difference between exports and imports led to an expansion of Switzerland's trade surplus to 8.1 billion Swiss francs, a record high for a single month.
