According to CoinMeta, NASDAQ-listed company ionic digital reported a 31% year-over-year increase in revenue for the second quarter to $48.6 million, of which rental income from digital infrastructure such as its AI data centers reached $43.8 million, accounting for about 90% of the total revenue. In contrast, bitcoin mining revenue decreased from $37.2 million in the same period last year to $4.8 million. The company is currently transforming its Ward County mine in Texas into a AI infrastructure park and has signed a long-term lease with nScale for approximately $1.95 billion in contract revenue. ionic was initially established from bitcoin mining assets during the bankruptcy reorganization of Celsius.
