According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Caixin News, the Court of Appeal of the High Court of Hong Kong rejected Ma Zhihao's application for a reduced sentence, upholding the original sentence of 56 months in prison. The Hong Kong police, through tracing cryptocurrency transaction records, discovered that the victims' families paid approximately 9,527 USDT to a designated wallet. Of these, 8,127 USDT were transferred to Ma Zhihao's exchange account and then exchanged for about 63,000 Hong Kong dollars, which were then deposited into his personal HSBC bank account.
