Strategy Reports a Net Loss of $8.2 Billion in the Second Quarter, Discloses Bitcoin Holdings and Debt Situation

According to CoinMeta, as reported by Forbes Digital Assets, Strategy incurred a net loss of $8.2 billion in the second quarter of 2026, mainly due to unrealized losses on digital assets amounting to $8.3 billion, with software business revenue totaling $122 million. Strategy sold 1,690 bitcoins for $109 million in cash and raised $334 million through the issuance of common stock; of this, $52 million was used for dividends, $132 million for share repurchases, and $149 million went into reserves. Twenty One Capital disclosed that Strategy holds 43,514 bitcoins, valued at approximately $2.8 billion, with a market value of equity of around $16 billion. Among these, 16,116 bitcoins are pledged as collateral for $485 million in convertible bonds, equivalent to $106 million in cash. Strategy has a reserve of $4.8 billion in US dollars, which is sufficient to cover about 2.7 years of debt and dividend payments.
