According to CoinMeta, data released by Statistics Canada shows that retail sales in June 2026 increased by 0.6%, higher than the market expectation of 0.4%. The retail sales growth for May was previously revised to 1.1%. Excluding automobiles, retail sales in June grew by 0.5%, also exceeding the expected 0.4%. Retail sales generally increased across provinces, with Ontario seeing a growth of 1.6% and Toronto experiencing a growth of 3.9%.
