BounceBit lost 286.5 million BB due to a protocol layer vulnerability, shutting down its self-developed blockchain

According to CoinMeta, a BounceBit announcement stated that its self-developed chain BounceBit Chain had a vulnerability in the Evmos protocol layer authorization. Between 05:02 and 09:54 on August 20th (UTC +8), attackers transferred 286.5 million BB from 9 mainnet accounts. BounceBit stopped producing coins on August 20th at 10:36 (UTC +8) and froze the state of the chain.
