Flowra Launches Solana Block Space Open Order Flow Auction
2026-08-21 21:20:15
According to CoinMeta, Flowra has announced the launch of an Open Order Flow Auction (OOA), a new block construction framework designed to introduce competition into the Maximum Extractable Value (MEV) market of the Solana network and potentially increase validator revenues. This system allows registered seekers to compete for transaction inclusion through transparent auctions, rather than relying on closed order flow channels. Flowra states that this approach can improve price discovery and enable validators to capture more of the value generated by MEV. Early tests have shown that the settings enabled by Flowra increased the computational output per block for individual validators by 20.6%, rising from an average network level of 84% to 101%. Additionally, Flowra reports that its block fees are higher than those of comparable validator software, yet it achieved 100% block production and 99.999% uptime during the testing period. Flowra has also introduced programmable block policies that allow validators to establish their own transaction inclusion policies to meet regulatory and compliance requirements. The company is currently bringing in institutional-level validators for its Open Order Flow Auction and plans for broader promotion as participation in the Solana ecosystem expands.
