US media: Oil prices are gradually ignoring the impact of Trump's posts
2026-08-21 22:10:25
According to CoinMeta, as reported by Axios, the reaction to Trump's social media posts regarding the Iran war is gradually fading. Oil analyst Ben Kachir stated that in the initial weeks of the war, the market overreacted to Trump's posts due to a "information vacuum" and high uncertainty about U.S. policies and objectives. Over the past few months, the market has been ignoring these social media posts as they do not reflect the actual situation. He pointed out that many of Trump's statements regarding the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, policies, and war objectives are "completely unrelated" to the actual traffic through the strait. Kachir believes that the White House was quite successful in controlling the narrative and keeping oil prices low, but this effect has now worn off.
