According to CoinMeta, Canton Network has been selected by a digital asset company and the American Ideology Foundation to conduct welfare pilots in three states of the United States, with plans to begin in the first quarter of 2027, subject to federal approval. The pilot aims to test resource-independent, stable, and employment projects ( RISE ). The American Ideology Foundation, founded by former U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan, focuses on economic policies and poverty alleviation projects. Canton Network will provide technical support to help with the distribution and monitoring of benefits. The pilot will allow each state to combine assistance from multiple projects into payments once or twice a month, with the goal of simplifying the eligibility requirements and payment processes of existing programs.
