Previously, reports indicated that U.S. and Canadian negotiators had made progress in reaching an agreement, which is part of a broader effort by both countries to alleviate the regional trade rules pushed by Trump. Mexico has not yet reached a similar agreement with the United States, but Ebrad insisted that he expects progress to be made soon. He said that his team is closely monitoring the negotiations between Washington and Ottawa and added that Mexico also has its own negotiation strategy.
