OpenRouter Launches a New Anonymous Model Ox Alpha, Suspected to Be Xiaomi's Mimo New Model

According to CoinMeta, OpenRouter recently launched a new anonymous model, Ox Alpha. This model is positioned as a cutting-edge model designed for coding, long-duration agent work, and real production environments. It supports up to 1 million token contexts and can process text, images, and video inputs. Currently, the model is available for free testing, and the provider will not use users' prompt or output training data for the model. The community generally speculates that Ox Alpha may come from Xiaomi's Mimo team. Xiaomi's CFO Lin Shiwei previously revealed that a new generation of Mimo models is in training and is expected to be released soon. Community developers chetaslua sent an intentionally misspelled API request to the model through opencode, and the backend unexpectedly returned a Java stack, which matched the official API path of Zhipu. Through comparative experiments, it was found that the token numbers of Ox Alpha always differ by 75 from those of glm-5.3, and the visual token consumption is completely consistent with glm-5v-turbo. At present, it is highly certain that the server side of Ox Alpha comes from Zhipu, and the model itself is also highly suspected to be part of the glm series.
