According to CoinMeta, as reported by bitcoin.com and news, there is a vulnerability in the The Sandbox cross-chain bridge. Attackers issued an additional 14.9 billion uncollateralized SAND tokens on Base and BNB Smart Chain. The Sandbox has already disabled the related network bridging function and stated that assets on Ethereum and Polygon were not affected. Coinbase plans to delist the SAND perpetual futures contract on August 26th, and open positions will be automatically settled.
