According to CoinMeta, U.S. Democratic Senator Van Hollen called for the closure of Trump's Bitcoin and cryptocurrency business and requested that legislators investigate the connections between World Liberty Financial and foreign leaders. Van Hollen accused World Liberty Financial of receiving $500 million from the United Arab Emirates four days before Trump's inauguration, after which Trump lifted restrictions on the sale of artificial intelligence chips to that country, and claimed that World Liberty Financial sold artificial intelligence chips to China.
