Johnson said in an interview with Fox News on Sunday, "I think we are about to enter a new phase very soon. I believe our allies will provide assistance in the next phase, and we will see this through to the end." He claimed that U.S. President Donald Trump successfully prevented Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, which is a "common goal of all previous administrations." Johnson stated, "As everyone knows, we 'cut off the head of the snake' (eliminated the core leadership), and you cannot trust the Iranians across from the negotiating table, and that is the challenge."
