According to CoinMeta, ExxonMobil temporarily ceased operations at a floating facility near the coast of Guyana due to a small fire in its laundry room. The fire was quickly extinguished, but the spokesperson stated that the temporary shutdown affected crude oil unloading operations. The liza oil field is key to Guyana's transformation into a major crude oil producer, with liza being responsible for producing about 250,000 barrels of crude oil out of the more than 900,000 barrels produced daily from the Stabrook block.
