According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Bitcoin News, a British court has ordered the liquidation of the crypto company Key Coin Assets Ltd. An investigation by the UK Insolvency Service found that the company did not engage in any actual crypto transactions, yet it promised investors guaranteed returns ranging from 40% to 100%, exhibiting characteristics of a Ponzi scheme. Nine investors paid a total of over 300,000 pounds to the company, and some of the funds were transferred to the personal accounts of the company's directors within hours of being received. In September 2024, the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) added Key Coin Assets to its list of unauthorized companies.
