According to CoinMeta, Bitcoin traded near $77,000 on Monday, rising by more than 23% over the past week, marking the largest weekly gain since mid-March 2023. This rebound was fueled by the U.S. Treasury Department's announcement of an expanded debt repurchase program, which improved sentiment in the crypto market. Strong institutional demand also supported this increase, with data showing that U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF recorded its largest weekly inflow since October 2025. However, on-chain data indicates that as Bitcoin approaches the psychological barrier of $80,000, some investors are taking profits. CryptoQuant data shows that Bitcoin holders realized approximately $1.72 billion in profits on Friday, setting a new high for daily profit realizations since November 2024. Despite profit-taking, the underlying spot demand for Bitcoin has improved, and the demand indicators for CryptoQuant have turned positive, indicating an enhanced interest in net buying. The continuously improving spot demand will help to offset selling pressure and support Bitcoin's upward trend.
