According to CoinMeta, the price of Zcash ( ZEC ) has risen by more than 70% in the past week, approaching $885 at one point and hitting an 8-year high, but then fell back below $820. This price increase was driven by the Grayscale ETF conversion plan and the Nu7 governance vote. After breaking through $562.50, buyers pushed the price up to $625, $687.50, and $750 gradually. Although the price has fallen by about 4%, it is still above the previous resistance level of $750. The latest registration statement from Grayscale indicates that the company plans to convert the existing Zcash trusts into exchange-traded products, which are expected to be listed on NYSE Arca around August 25th. This conversion will enable American investors to gain exposure to ZEC through regulated brokerage products, without the need to directly hold the tokens.
