According to CoinMeta, the U.S. Treasury Department has imposed sanctions on nearly 60 entities, individuals, and vessels associated with Iran, covering areas such as nuclear, missile, and oil networks. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen warned that entities that assist Iran in money laundering will be excluded from the U.S. dollar system, and potential secondary sanctions will be imposed on the digital assets, technology, gold, aviation, and shipping industries. The Israeli military destroyed two Hamas weapon depots, while Houthi militants attacked Saudi troops and oil tankers. The U.S. Central Command forced 71 merchant ships to change their routes, and one oil tanker was attacked and caught fire west of Yanbu, Saudi Arabia.
